6th Sunday of Easter – Year A (John 14:15–21)

Blurbs by Rev.Fr. Pete Literal

In a world marked by conflict, fear, and uncertainty, it is easy to lose hope. Yet, as
Christians, we are never without hope. St. Peter reminds us to always be ready to give
a reason for our hope—because our hope is not in circumstances, but in a person:
Jesus Christ.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus assures us that we are not alone. He promises, “I will not leave
you orphans.” Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, God remains with us—guiding,
strengthening, and loving us in every moment. Whatever burdens we carry—illness,
family struggles, or financial worries—we are reminded that if we remain in Christ, hope
remains alive in us. Jesus knows us, walks with us, and brings peace even in difficult
times.
We can see this hope alive in the love of our families, in our parish community, and in
the quiet strength within our hearts. We are not orphans. God is with us.
And in Him, our hope will never fail.
