In today’s Gospel, Jesus reveals Himself in a new and powerful way—not only as the
Good Shepherd, but as the Gate through which the sheep enter.
In biblical times, the sheepfold was a place of safety and protection. There was only one
way in—the gate. Jesus tells us, “I am the gate… whoever enters through me will be
saved and will find pasture.”
This image reminds us that Jesus is our way to security, peace, and an abundant life. In
a world filled with uncertainty and many competing voices, He alone leads us to true
refuge and lasting joy.
We are His sheep. We hear His voice when we turn to Him in prayer, trust in His Word,
and follow His ways. When we choose Jesus, we are led not only to safety but to a life
filled with meaning, grace, and love.
In challenging times, the Gospel invites us to make a simple but important choice: Will
we enter through the Gate?
When we choose Christ, our lives are strengthened, our faith deepens, and our
community grows stronger. For He is our Shepherd, our guide, and our hope.
Let us not be afraid.
Let us trust His voice.
Let us enter through Him—and find life.
