Palm Sunday 2025: God calls us to live with integrity of Christ.

Blurbs by Rev. Fr.Pete Literal

The readings remind us to live with Christ’s integrity on this Palm Sunday. Despite being
stung repeatedly, a wise man risked his life to save a scorpion. When questioned, he
replied, “Just because it is in the scorpion’s nature to sting, that does not change the
fact that it is in my nature to save.”
This is the heart of Jesus’ Passion. God’s will was not suffering, but Jesus willingly bore
the cost to fulfill it. While others betrayed, abandoned, or opposed Him, Jesus remained
steadfast. He refused to compromise for power, fame, or comfort. He emptied Himself
for us—and calls us to do the same.
As we enter Holy Week, we must follow Christ’s example: bringing peace where
violence rages, Shining His light in the darkness, Extending mercy to the broken and
forgotten, and Offering forgiveness where fear and division exist.
With our lives, let us proclaim that we are people of integrity, willing to speak truth,
defend the powerless, and take up our cross for righteousness. If not us, then who? If
not now, then when? We are the Body of Christ. This is our mission.

THE PASCHAL TRIDUUM IS ONE COMPLETE CELEBRATION
Today, we enter the Paschal Mystery, an Invitation to the Triduum. As Lent draws to a
close, we stand at the threshold of the Paschal Triduum, the heart of our faith, the
summit of the Church’s liturgical year. This is not just a series of events but one
continuous celebration, drawing us deeper into the mystery of Christ’s passion, death,
and resurrection.
On Holy Thursday, we gather as Jesus did with His disciples, witnessing the humility of
the washing of the Feet and the gift of the Eucharist, where love becomes tangible and
self-giving.
On Good Friday, we stand at the foot of the Cross, remembering the depth of Christ’s
sacrifice—a love that embraces our pain, struggles, and sinfulness.
On Holy Saturday, we wait in silent hope, longing for the dawn of resurrection. Then, at
the Easter Vigil, the darkness is shattered by the light of Christ, and we proclaim the
victory of life over death.
This is one journey—one great act of love. We invite you to walk this path with us. Don’t
just attend a part of it; enter the Paschal Mystery’s fullness. Come and experience the
life-changing power of Christ’s passion, the depths of His love, and the triumph of His
resurrection.
