2ND SUNDAY OF LENT:  GOD WILL COMPLETE WHAT HE HAS BEGUN IN OUR LIVES.

Blurbs by Fr. Pete Literal

Today’s readings remind us of the importance and power of transformation. The story of Jesus’ Transfiguration calls us to renew our lives this Lent and reflect His glory through Spirit-filled living.

God’s voice from the mountain declares, “This is my Beloved Son; listen to Him!” This command wasn’t just for Peter, James, and John. It’s for all of us. Lent is our invitation to return to God with renewed hearts. For transformation is Possible:

1.       Return to God: Lent calls us back to God, seeking holiness and living according to His divine plan. God desires our complete and wholehearted return and reconciliation.

2.       Participate in God’s Plan: No matter our past, God invites us to continue His work in us. We are called to finish the race of faith with dedication. His grace forgives our failings and empowers us to move forward.

3.       Listen to Him: God asks us to trust His greater plan in moments of disappointment and hurt. Challenges don’t define us—our response to God’s call does.

Let’s leave today committed to deepening our faith and embracing God’s transformative work. God, who began this good work in us, will surely complete it.
