This first Sunday of Lent always presents us with Christ’s temptation. As Jesus faced the devil’s temptations, He could have made excuses to give in, but He chose integrity and truth. He trusted God instead of seizing fleeting comfort. His unwavering integrity is an example for us this Lent.

In a world where truth is often compromised, we are called to be people of integrity, living in harmony with our physical and spiritual selves. When we sacrifice our integrity, we fall into chaos and turmoil. But when we resist temptation, we find peace.

Let’s look inward this Lent and ask, “Am I living in peace or turmoil?” More than giving up comforts or saying extra prayers, let’s focus on uniting our body and soul, aligning our lives with Jesus’ example. Jesus offers us dignity, peace, and integrity. Let us follow Him with hearts committed to truth and wholeness.
