FLARE First Summit

First ever summit of Filipino Leaders, Partners and Supporters of Filipino Ministries in the Archdiocese of Baltimore

FLARE (Faith and Leadership Assembly for Renewal and Empowerment) is a one (1) day spiritual enrichment activity to reflect more deeply on the missionary calling by the Church of Baltimore to the Filipino people and to reinforce the Christian values inherent among Filipinos helping us become more effective servant-leaders.  Our desired results are intended for all our Filipino leaders and members of various Filipino organizations to experience spiritual renewal, to be driven with charity by Christ’s mission, and to be intentionally engaged in the work of family evangelization in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. 

Archbishop William E. Lori and the Filipino Council of Archdiocese of Baltimore invite the Filipino leaders and mission partners to the

  •  1st Faith and Leadership Assembly for Renewal and Empowerment (FLARE),
  • on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • at St Michael the Archangel Parish Gymnasium, 10 Willow Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21206.  

This is the 1st Summit of Filipino leaders, mission partners, and supporters of Filipino ministry in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

We begin the Jubilee year of Mercy by celebrating “Simbang Gabi” to meditate on God’s compassion: the reason and direction of Christ’ coming.  Because of the Love and Mercy of God, the Son of God, Jesus, is given to us, that we may also become merciful to others.  When mercy reigns, “God is with us .”   Be compassionate as Your Father is compassionate to you.

  • Welcome Ritual at 2:45pm (Sinulog Dance and Enthronement of San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod)
  • Eucharistic Celebration at 3:00pm with Archbishop William Lori, Archbishop – Archdiocese of Baltimore
  • Cathedral of Mary Our Queen
  • 5200 N. Charles St. Baltimore, MD 21210

There will be a procession around the cathedral after the Mass. A mini-Fiesta Salu-Salo and short program follows after the procession.

2014 Marian Pilgrimage

The Archdiocesan Filipino Council of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, in cooperation with the Franciscan Friars at the Shrine of St. Anthony (Ellicot City), cordially invites you and your family to an afternoon of prayer, worship and inter-active sharing.

The event will be culminated with a Mass, procession and flower offering to Mama Mary and a mini-salo-salo after.
